Updated: 3 November 2026. Prices and ratings below were checked on Amazon.in and the official KENT and Eureka Forbes sites on that date.
Short answer: buy KENT if you want a bigger tank and simple, proven RO. The KENT Grand (8 litres, 20 litres per hour) at about ₹11,949 is our KENT value pick. Buy Aquaguard if you want the lowest upfront price or smarter features. The Aquaguard Sure Delight 2X costs about ₹9,499 and was the most bought of the six (10K+ in the past month), while the Ritz Pro adds a stainless-steel tank, live TDS display and a 2-year unconditional warranty.
Before you choose either brand, check your water. Eureka Forbes itself says RO suits hard, high-TDS water (borewell, tanker), while UV is enough for soft, low-TDS municipal water. Buying RO for already-soft water wastes water and money. With that in mind, here is how six current models compare.
Best KENT value
KENT Grand
8 L tank, 20 L/h, 60 W, RO+UF with TDS control. About ₹11,949, 4.4/5 from 8,530 ratings.
Best Aquaguard value
Aquaguard Sure Delight 2X
RO+UV+UF, filter life up to 2 years or 10,000 L (conditions apply). About ₹9,499, 4.2/5 from 10,538 ratings.
Best smart pick
Aquaguard Enrich Ritz Pro 2X
Stainless-steel tank, TDS display and app, 2-year unconditional warranty. About ₹16,499.

In this guide
First: do you even need RO?
TDS (total dissolved solids) is the amount of dissolved salts and minerals in water. High-TDS water from borewells or tankers tastes salty or hard and needs RO. Low-TDS municipal supply is often fine with UV or UV+UF. A cheap TDS meter or the free water test most brands offer at installation will tell you. Note that Aquaguard's longer filter-life claim only applies when your input TDS is below 1,000.

Check the exact model before paying
KENT's official Grand page says 8 L, but Amazon's “New Grand” listing says 7.5 L, so it may be a newer revision. Aquaguard's official Sure Delight page says 6 L and 7 stages, while Amazon says 6.2 L and 9 stages. Ask the seller or the installer to confirm the model code.
Features that matter
Tank size. KENT's 8 to 9 L tanks are a real advantage during power cuts or for families of five or more. Aquaguard's 5 to 6 L tanks refill quickly but some Sure Delight and Ritz Pro buyers say the tank feels small.
TDS control and minerals. KENT models let the technician adjust output TDS to keep some natural minerals. Aquaguard uses a mineraliser (Sure Delight) or copper and alkaline boost (Glory, Ritz Pro). Both brands market copper and alkaline stages with health benefits; these are manufacturer claims, not proven health advantages.
Water saving. RO always produces some reject water. Aquaguard claims over 40% recovery on the Sure Delight (when input TDS is below 1,000), but some owners say reject water is still high. You can reuse reject water for mopping, plants or washing.
Smart monitoring. Only the Aquaguard Ritz Pro shows TDS in and out in real time and tracks filter life in an app, with automatic service requests. Its stainless-steel tank is also a plus for buyers who prefer to avoid plastic storage.
Power. KENT lists 60 W for all three models, which is low. Aquaguard does not state wattage on these pages.
Reliability and service: what buyers report
With water purifiers, service matters as much as the machine, because filters need replacing. These themes come from Amazon.in reviews on 3 November 2026 and are buyer reports, not failure rates.
| Model | Buyers praise | Buyers complain about |
|---|---|---|
| KENT Grand | Clean-tasting water, quality, free installation | Mixed reliability or motor reports; pre-filter sold extra |
| KENT Supreme Plus | Taste, TDS adjustment, installation | Extra charges for pre-filter, pressure valve or meter; some service problems |
| KENT Grand Plus | Good taste, installation and service | Mixed durability; some say water wastage is high; extra fitting charges |
| Aquaguard Sure Delight | Quality, taste, value, installation | Disputes over reject-water claims, slow service, flimsy tap, small tank |
| Aquaguard Enrich Glory | Taste, looks, easy use, value | Mixed installation and service; small rating base (204) |
| Aquaguard Ritz Pro | TDS display and app, steel tank, warranty | Installation delays, small 5 L tank, questions on warranty exclusions |
A pattern for both brands: buyers are surprised by add-on charges at installation (pre-filters, pressure-reducing valves, TDS adjustment). Ask the installer for a written list of anything not included before work begins.
Warranty and running costs
- KENT: 1-year warranty on all three. The Supreme Plus and Grand Plus add 3 years of free service, which covers service visits, not a 3-year product warranty. Service: 92789 12345, service@kent.co.in.
- Aquaguard: 1-year warranty on Sure Delight (with free installation, two free cleanings and unlimited repair visits in year one) and Glory (plus a separate 4-year free service plan). The Ritz Pro advertises a 2-year unconditional warranty covering filters and spares. Service: 1860 266 1177 or 7039883333.
- Filter life: Aquaguard claims up to 2 years or 10,000 L for the Sure Delight's NanoPore 2X (input TDS below 1,000) and 12,000 L for the Glory. We could not find comparable published filter and AMC prices for both brands, so ask for the yearly maintenance cost before you buy.
- Certification: KENT's site cites BIS, NSF and IS 10500 claims, but model-level certificate numbers were not shown. We did not find certificate numbers for the Aquaguard models either.

Before you order: checklist
- ✓Test your input TDS. RO for high TDS; UV or UV+UF is often enough for low-TDS municipal water.
- ✓Confirm the exact model code and tank size with the seller.
- ✓Ask what installation includes: pre-filter, pressure valve, TDS adjustment, wall fittings.
- ✓Get the yearly filter or service-plan price in writing.
- ✓Check the warranty type: product warranty vs free service vs unconditional.
- ✓Plan a use for reject water (mopping, plants, washing).
Frequently asked questions
Which is better, KENT or Aquaguard?
KENT is better if you want a bigger tank and simple RO with TDS control. Aquaguard is better on entry price and smart features. Both get mixed service reviews, so local service quality in your city matters as much as the brand.
Is RO water safe to drink every day?
Yes, RO water is widely used for drinking. KENT and Aquaguard both add minerals back or let you adjust TDS. If your supply is already low in TDS, a UV purifier may be a better fit.
Are copper and alkaline purifiers worth it?
They mainly add cost. The health claims come from manufacturers and are not independently proven. Choose them only if you like the taste and the price gap is small.
How often should RO filters be changed?
It depends on your water and usage. Aquaguard rates its NanoPore 2X for up to 2 years or 10,000 L at input TDS below 1,000. Follow the service alerts or the installer's advice.
Does an RO purifier waste a lot of water?
All RO purifiers produce reject water. Aquaguard claims over 40% recovery on the Sure Delight. Reusing reject water for cleaning reduces waste. See our tips on cutting kitchen energy use and reducing plastic in the kitchen.
